Lexa PR is hiring a part-time Social Media and PR Coordinator!

Estimated number of hours per week: 10

Lexa PR consists of two women based in Denver and Fort Collins who are passionate about the brands that we support. We focus on food and beverage and lifestyle brands. We’re looking for a rock star employee to be our right hand! This individual should have an elevated understanding of social media, have a knack for writing, and have some knowledge about craft beer. Public relations experience including press release writing is a plus. You must be self-motivated as this individual will be working from home or clients’ places of business. The role will be broken down as follows. Some weekend work will be required.


Administration: (30%)

Day-to-day requests from Lexa PR team

Event calendar postings for client events

Pull 2018 editorial calendars for national and local outlets in the food and beverage realm

Media contact list maintenance

Contribute to company blog.


Media relations: (30%)

Attend certain client events as directed by Lexa PR.

Research and identify pitches for clients.

Research opportunities for clients including editorial opportunities and upcoming awards.


Social Media: (40%)

Plan and execute Lexa PR’s social media program (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram).

Support Lexa PR in the development and implementation of client social media programs.

Must have an advanced understanding of social media including proper hashtag usage, Instagram stories, tagging, and other best practices.


Basic Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Public Relations or a related communications field.

Prior social media or PR experience.

Have a strong writing background. AP Style experience is a plus.

Be resourceful and have the ability to work independently (this job will be remote).

Have a passion for social media and in general consuming media.

Basic photography experience.
