DENVER - June 7, 2018 – After April’s wild Tennyson Street Field Day Rumpus, Call to Arms Brewing Company has announced its next Rumpus: Rumpus & Chill, which will be held at the brewery (4526 Tennyson St. Denver, CO 80212) on Saturday, June 23 from noon to 9 p.m., will take on a casual summer backyard bbq theme with a Hawaiian twist.
“The inspiration behind our Rumpus events has always been gathering our neighbors together for some good old-fashioned backyard fun, games, music, food, and, of course, beer,” said Jon Cross, proprietor and head brewer of Call to Arms. “We couldn't resist the opportunity to host a relaxed June get together with some island flair to compliment the lazy days of summertime in Denver.”
The Rumpus agenda includes parking lot games, live music, delicious beer releases and island-inspired food. Ohana Grille food truck will be serving your favorite Hawaiian street food with a side of Aloha spirit, in addition to Maui Shaved Ice, serving up authentic Hawaiian-style shave ice. Reggae-rock-pop-funk Denver-based band Sun Dried Nanners will be performing from 4-7 p.m. For the full schedule of events, visit Call to Arms Brewing Company’s Facebook page.
The brewery will be releasing a version of its World Beer Cup® 2018 Gold Medal Winner More Like Bore-O-Phyll, a whole-cone hopped IPA, at the Rumpus. There will also be limited special-edition t-shirts for sale celebrating McLovin Month 2018, a month-long celebration of all things hoppy at Call to Arms.
“Unlike our outlandish Tennyson Street Field Day Rumpus, we are really embracing the ‘Rumpus & Chill’ theme. Summer at Call to Arms and on Tennyson Street is very chill and relaxed, while still featuring a full roster of events. It’s the epitome of the Colorado mindset,” said Cross.
