The largest indie music festival in the Rocky Mountains releases lineup of more than 175 artists that will perform July 27-29 along Denver’s historic South Broadway
DENVER - May 31, 2018 - More than 175 musical acts have been announced, including over a dozen headliners like Alvvays, Deerhunter and Digable Planets, and more supporting acts, for the 18th annual Underground Music Showcase (UMS). UMS, the largest indie music festival in the Rocky Mountain region, returns to South Broadway July 27-29.
“UMS is the perfect representation of the multiverse of incredibly talented bands from in and around the Denver Metro area, showcasing everything we've got to offer here,” said Tobias Krause of Two Parts. “South Broadway is the perfect backdrop for this sort of festival. The corridor is full of energy, grit and character, which is what makes the Underground Music Showcase so special.”
Other headliners on the bill include BJ the Chicago Kid, Frankie Cosmos and Classixx. The extensive list of supporting acts includes Slow Caves, The Velveteers and iZCALLi. The current lineup can be viewed here.
UMS goes beyond music and will include new art, comedy and craft beer stages this year. More details on specific stages will be announced closer to the festival.
“UMS is a weekend long, in-depth look at everything that the city has to offer. Attendees can expect an elevated food and beverage program, plenty of live entertainment in the range of comedy, podcasts, panel discussions and, of course, the best live music the city has to offer,” said Krause.
UMS presale weekend tickets, priced at $35, go on sale May 31 at 10 a.m. and end June 14 at 10 a.m. Groups looking to save additional money can purchase a weekend pass four-pack for $105. Weekend ticket prices will increase to $75, beginning June 14. Weekend tickets include general admission access to any show, any stage, all weekend long. Single day passes will be available for $40.
